Reflector Telescopes

Reflecting Telescopes are a real treat. Rather than simply magnifying an image that you see in space, it is first reflected off of two mirrors. One mirror sits at the base of the telescope and gathers all of the light coming in on a reflective, parabolic surface. After the light is captured and reflected by the primary mirror, it is then sent to a second mirror which is aimed toward the viewers eye. The viewer then uses an eyepiece to magnify the image being reflected to his/her eye.

Though the technology is quite astounding, the end result is even more wonderous. We hope you use your reflector telescope to find some astounding things in space. Because, in the end, it's about a catching a great view of a comet, planet or star.
